charity organisations in Uganda
e develop community based programs involve in building physical structures such as churches, school structures, and houses/shelter for the needy, toilets and so on.
We also aim at supporting personal development in education and life skills so as train trainers and community change agents.
Take a look at the Church Structure of Blessed Word of Life Church that has been constructed through the SCU development program.
We have not only supported the church financially but also sent out local and international teams to help with the construction right from the foundation level to the furnishing stage.
“Special thanks to Smile Charity Uganda and all those that contribute to the ministry in all ways. We’re really grateful for all the support towards the construction of our church. May God bless you,” says Davidson Nsubuga- Pastor Blessed Word of Life Church.
Through the SCU Development Program, the building of a house for a widow who didn’t have a home to stay was possible.
She is happily living in her new home with her children and is so grateful to SCU for building a house for her.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE CENTRE
We are a Community Based Organization operating In Wakiso District Kampala Uganda main areas of intervention have been through:
1. Children, in Uganda, because we believe that they are the future of the country. All children have the right to education, healthcare and to grow up in a safe environment. However, in Uganda there are many street children and orphans, these children have no hope for a good future.
2. Single mothers, who have no money to raise their children which results in a great risk that these children leave their homes to live on the streets. As away to empower these mothers we are implementing SKILLS 4 LIFE Project with support from another Foundation.
